The Series 8 added temperature sensing and crash detection, and many owners wear it around the clock for sleep tracking and workouts. When the screen cracks or goes dark, most of that stops being useful: you can't read a workout, answer a message or check your rings.
This OLED display screen assembly fits the 41mm Series 8. It's offered as OEM Pull, an Apple-made screen from a donor watch.
When the 41mm Series 8 screen needs replacing
Look for cracked or chipped glass, a display that stays dark while the watch still vibrates, touch that is dead or registers phantom taps, and lines or patches after a fall. A screen lifting at one edge usually points to a swollen battery rather than a failed display.
Size and fitting
The size is engraved on the back. This part is for the 41mm case; the 45mm screen is larger and won't fit. The display is bonded with adhesive and has delicate cables, so open it with gentle heat and a thin blade, disconnect the battery and seal with fresh adhesive once the new screen tests well.
