DJI Mavic Air 2 Middle Frame

The middle frame is the backbone of the Mavic Air 2. The mainboard, motor arms, sensors and other modules all mount to it, so a crack here can affect alignment throughout the drone.

This middle frame body shell is listed for the DJI Mavic Air 2. The listing claims manufacturer specifications but names no maker, so it's sold as aftermarket.

When the Air 2 middle frame needs replacing

• A cracked or broken frame after a crash.

• Arms that won't sit straight because mounts are damaged.

• Stripped or broken screw posts.

• Internal modules that no longer align.

A major rebuild

Replacing the middle frame means moving almost every internal component, including the mainboard and arms. Photograph each step and label the screws, since lengths differ. If you're not confident with full disassembly, a professional repair may be the safer route.

After reassembly, check that the arms fold and lock, the gimbal moves freely and every sensor reports normally in the app. Calibrate the IMU and compass as the app directs, then hover low before flying normally. Expect the job to take considerably longer than an arm or shell swap.
