Details

Say your Mini 3 clipped a fence post on a windy day. It still flies, but the top shell has a crack across it, and you don't want dust getting into the board on the next flight.

This is a replacement upper shell for the DJI Mini 3 (the non-Pro model), supplied without the button assembly. It doesn't state the maker, so it's treated as aftermarket. It covers and supports the internal parts.

When it's needed

A cracked or broken top shell.
Heavy scratches from a crash.

Swap tips

The button isn't included, so take it off the old shell and fit it to the new one. Keep the screws in order and avoid overtightening them, as the plastic is light. Line up the front edge first so the shell clicks in evenly, and check that the gimbal still moves freely when you've finished.

Check the antenna cables and the GPS module when the shell is off. The listing notes that some drone repairs need calibration afterwards, so calibrate the IMU and compass, then do a hover test.
