Details

The iPhone 15 range was Apple's first to switch from Lightning to USB-C. A USB-C port takes a lot of plugging and unplugging, and pocket lint, drops and liquid all wear it down over time.

This listing sells the charging port flex for the iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. The 15 and 15 Plus options come in Black, Blue, Yellow, Pink and Green, and the Pro and Pro Max in Black, White, Blue and Natural Titanium. The maker isn't named, so it's sold as aftermarket.

Faults it fixes

  • A USB-C plug that falls out or feels loose.

  • Charging that keeps cutting out.

  • No data connection or accessory detection.

  • A damaged or corroded port after liquid exposure.

Bench notes

Inspect the port under magnification first, because packed debris is often the real problem. If the contacts are bent or burnt, the flex has to go.

Disconnect the battery before working near the flex, then remove the speaker and brackets. After fitting, test wired charging, data, accessories and the bottom microphone. Choose the model and frame colour carefully, since the Pro titanium shades differ from the standard colours.
