Details

With the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max, Apple gave both sizes the same triple camera system, including macro photography through the ultra wide lens. That makes this one module the right part for either phone, which wasn't the case with the previous generation.

This aftermarket rear camera module is the triple camera for the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max.

Common camera faults

Blurry photos even though the lens glass is clean and uncracked.
A black picture on one lens, or a lens that won't switch on.
A picture that shakes, or a clicking or buzzing sound from the module.
Macro mode that no longer focuses close up.

Drops and liquid damage are the most common causes. Fitting the module means opening the phone with pentalobe drivers, a suction cup and picks. After fitting, test all three lenses, macro, flash and video. iOS may show a notice about the camera.

A new module brings back the 13 Pro's full camera system, from wide shots to close-up macro.
