DJI Mini 3 Arm Shell (No Motor)

A cracked arm on a Mini 3 doesn't always mean a dead motor. This empty arm shell lets you move your working motor and cable into a new housing, which costs less than replacing the whole assembly.

This arm shell is listed for the DJI Mini 3 in left-front, right-front, left-rear and right-rear options, without motors. The listing names no maker, so it's sold as an aftermarket shell.

When the Mini 3 arm shell is the right part

• A cracked or bent arm with a working motor.

• A broken motor mount on the arm.

• An arm that won't lock after a crash.

• Cosmetic damage on a refurbished drone.

Doing the transfer

Front shells are priced slightly higher than rear shells. Photograph the motor wire routing before you start, and free the wires carefully so they aren't stretched or nicked. Check the motor spins smoothly before moving it; if it doesn't, a complete arm with motor may be the better buy.

Once reassembled, fold and unfold the arm to confirm it locks firmly. Spin the propeller by hand and hover close to the ground to check the drone flies steadily.
