QUICK TS1100 Intelligent Lead-Free Soldering Station

A trainee bumps the temperature up to 450°C to speed things up, and the next tech lifts a pad. The QUICK TS1100 has a password lock on its parameters, so settings stay where the shop sets them.

It's a 90 W lead-free station with a 100 to 450°C range, ±2°C stability and an LCD. It uses a TSS30A handle, TSS10A metal heating core and 960 series tips. Tip-to-ground resistance is under 2 Ω and potential under 2 mV, and the station monitors grounding in real time. It also has a temperature alarm, Celsius/Fahrenheit switching, sleep mode and touch buttons.

When it pays off

Setup

Set your working temperature for the shop's usual solder, then lock it so only a supervisor can change it. Check the ground connection before work starts; the station's monitoring will flag a poor earth. Let the sleep mode cool the tip between jobs.
