iPhone 16 Plus Earpiece Speaker with WiFi Flex (International Version)

A traveler buys an iPhone 16 Plus overseas, and a year later the earpiece goes quiet. At the repair counter, the first question isn't about the speaker at all: which version of the phone is it? For this part, the answer decides which assembly fits.

This earpiece speaker with WiFi flex cable is listed for the international version of the iPhone 16 Plus. With no grade in the listing, it's an aftermarket part.

International 16 Plus faults it fixes

• Faint or muffled call audio.

• Crackling voices.

• An earpiece that died after a drop.

• Liquid damage at the top of the phone.

• A flex damaged during earlier repair work.

Try cleaning the earpiece slot before ordering, since dirt can mimic a failed speaker.

Finding the version

Check the model number in Settings, General, About. A physical SIM tray is a good hint that it's not a US unit, but the model number is the reliable answer.

Open the display carefully, disconnect the battery and keep the flex flat and unfolded. Test calls and Wi-Fi before sealing.

Matched to the right version, it brings back clear calls on the big-screen 16 Plus, wherever the phone was bought.
