Galaxy Z Fold5SM-F946

Details

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 was the first Fold to close completely flat, thanks to its redesigned hinge. That makes it slimmer in a pocket, and it also means the two outer halves meet tightly when the phone is dropped closed. A hard landing on the back tends to crack the glass on the camera side first.

This aftermarket back cover glass with the camera lens fitted is made for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 (F946), in Phantom Black, Blue and Cream.

Typical reasons for a new back

A cracked or shattered back is the main one. Others are a chipped lens cover that blurs photos, deep scratches across the back, and glass that lifted at an edge after heat or a swollen battery.

The Fold 4 and Fold 6 use different glass, so confirm SM-F946 first. Removal requires heat, a suction cup and picks, and new adhesive is needed for the replacement. Wear eye protection and keep tools shallow over the wireless charging coil.

New glass gives the Fold 5 a clean back and a clear camera again.
