Unlike the Mini 3 Pro, the standard DJI Mini 3 has no forward or backward obstacle sensors. Its vision system looks down only, helping the drone hold position near the ground and land accurately. That makes the downward sensor more important on this model, and a damaged one is quickly noticeable.

This downward vision sensor is listed for the DJI Mini 3. The maker isn't named, which is why we list it as aftermarket.

Drift or wobble when hovering close to the ground.

Check before replacing

Clean the lenses with a soft cloth and fly over textured, well-lit ground; plain, shiny or dark surfaces and water make any downward vision system less reliable. If faults remain, fit the new sensor, calibrate if prompted and test-hover low over open ground.

Avoid touching the lenses when fitting the part, and keep the old sensor until the new one has flown a few times. With a working downward sensor, the Mini 3 hovers and lands predictably again.
