Details

Holding steel tweezers under a microscope for an hour makes your hand tired, and any wobble shows up at 20x. These 2UUL titanium alloy tweezers weigh about 14 g, lighter than steel pairs.

Titanium alloy is non-magnetic and resists corrosion. They are 140 mm long, with fine tips for components and jumper wires. Choose straight (Ti11) or curved (Ti12); one pair comes per order.

Work they're built for

  • Jumper wire across a broken trace under the microscope.

  • A tiny capacitor that is missing and must be placed.

  • Fatigue in long micro-soldering sessions.

  • Magnetic pull from steel tweezers dragging small parts.

Straight or curved

Straight tips suit direct, vertical placement; curved tips let you keep your hand out of the microscope's view and reach around tall parts. Many technicians use both.

Don't pry with the fine tips, and clean flux off after use with alcohol. Titanium is softer than hardened steel, so the fine points bend more easily if the tweezers are dropped; store them in a sleeve or tip cap. Close the tips against a light now and then to check they still meet evenly.
