Details

Micro-soldering under a magnifier lamp only gets you so far. Once you're reballing a CPU or bridging a broken trace, you need a stereo microscope. The 2UUL MC7060-A1 is a trinocular stereo microscope with 7–60X continuous zoom.

It pairs a 0.7–6.0X zoom objective with WF10X/23 mm high-eyepoint eyepieces, giving a 32.8 mm field of view at 7X. Greenough-type optics keep focus through the zoom range. The third (CTV) port takes a camera, with a 0.5X adapter included. Working distance is about 85 mm at full zoom, and the focus arm has 120 mm of lift with coarse and fine knobs. A 72-LED dimmable ring light is included.

Where the MC7060-A1 earns its place

  • Broken traces or lifted pads that need jumper wires.

  • Cracked BGA joints and CPU reballing.

  • Damaged FPC connector pins.

  • Shorted capacitors hiding among tiny parts.

Setting it up

Adjust the eyepiece spacing to your eyes, start at 7X to find the area, then zoom in and refine with the fine focus. Add a camera such as the 2UUL MS01 to the trinocular port to show customers or train staff.
