MacBook Retina 12" A1534 (2015-2017) LCD Screen Display Assembly

The 12-inch MacBook was Apple's thinnest laptop of its time: fanless, with a single USB-C port and a lid so thin the screen flexes if you pick it up by a corner. That design made it light to carry, and it also makes the display easy to crack. Many of these laptops still work well inside but have a damaged screen.

This aftermarket LCD screen display assembly is offered in S+ Grade, in Gold, Silver, Space Grey and Rose Gold.

When a new assembly makes sense

The common cases are a crack from pressure in a bag, lines or flicker in the picture, and a display that stays black while the laptop chimes and charges. Coating wear, where the screen shows blotchy patches when it's off, is another reason owners choose a new assembly.

Look for A1534 on the bottom case and pick the color that matches your lid. Inside, the parts are tightly packed and the cables are delicate, so this is best done by someone with MacBook experience, using pentalobe and Torx drivers.

A new display lets a compact, silent MacBook stay in use as a travel or writing laptop.
