LUOWEI LW-HR AirPods Opening and Pressing Fixture

An AirPods repair has two delicate steps: getting the shell open without cracking it, and pressing it shut again evenly. The LUOWEI LW-HR fixture handles both for AirPods 1 and 2, AirPods 3 and AirPods Pro.

It's made from high-temperature plastic and metal, in green and black, and weighs about 600 g. The clamp holds the earbud while you warm the glue with hot air, then the press closes the shell after the repair.

Step by step

Place the earbud in the fixture, aligned with the clamp. Warm the seam gently with hot air if the glue is firm, then open it carefully. Replace the part, and use the press to reseal the shell.

Keep heat low and moving, since AirPods plastic deforms easily. Swollen batteries can vent, so work in a ventilated space. Use fresh adhesive before pressing the shell closed, and press evenly.
